Think of this process as a two-way assessment – we want to understand how your experience and approach would work here. We also invite you to ask us as many questions as you’d like about working here, the role and the team, so we can ensure this is the right fit for us both.

We’ll always get back to you about the outcome of your application, so if you haven’t heard back from us after two weeks of the job ad closing, contact us at HR@plunket.org.nz.

How to apply

When you click ‘Apply’ on one of our job ads, you’ll be directed to log into or register on our online application portal. You'll complete an application form and upload your CV. We love hearing about your connection to our mahi and what makes you a great fit for the role, so please include a tailored cover letter.

We'll acknowledge your completed application by email.

Pre-interview

How we assess your application depends on the role, but might include online testing, video introduction or a phone call (or all three!)

We know this might feel a little nerve-racking, but the aim of these stages is to get to know you beyond your CV and cover letter.

Panel interview

We’ll provide information about the interview structure and some tips about how to prepare. Ensuring we’re living our uara (values) starts during the recruitment process.

By applying and sharing your experience with us you are being tremendously maia (courageous). We recognise interviewing can be daunting, and especially difficult if you are someone who is māhaki (humble) and finds celebrating your wins difficult.

We want to make sure we tūhono (connect) and manaaki (care/nurture/support) you during the interview. That's why we offer whānau interviews for all our applicants who feel support from others might help us gain a broader understanding of your suitability for this mahi.

We will always request permission to contact your referees. This is usually done online.

Offer stage and onboarding

Once we’ve collected satisfactory references, we’ll be in touch to discuss next steps. You’ll receive your formal offer letter and be asked to return your paperwork to us online.

We can’t wait to meet you!
