What is the role?
Our Community Services Coordinators ensure our community-based initiatives such as our parenting groups and programmes run smoothly, and our volunteers are well supported.
You will have the opportunity to build connections with local community groups to develop initiatives that promote healthy confident whānau and pēpi.
You’ll also seek out new community initiatives and work on improving the attendance at our current programmes, promoting what we offer through social media.
What skills do I need?
Ideally you will have prior experience in working in a role where there is a community development focus. You will be confident in engaging with local groups and be able to effectively build relationships with whānau.
Prior experience working in a role where you built positive relationships and sought out opportunities to expand a service will also help you to thrive in this role.
We’re open to a variety of backgrounds, as long as you bring the passion for advancing and promoting services which will make a genuine difference to whānau.
You will also need a full NZ Drivers Licence – although when you do travel for work, it will be during the work day and in one of our Plunket vehicles.
